About Lingo Llamas
Hello! Bonjour! Guten Tag!
Welcome to Lingo Llamas! My name is Romy - I'm a qualified primary school teacher and I've previously taught English as a foreign language in kindergartens and primary schools in France and Germany, as well as French in a UK primary school. My son's interest in learning German inspired me to set up Lingo Llamas to give as many children as possible the opportunity to enjoy learning languages!
I believe language learning should be fun and interactive. I teach languages using songs, stories, games, crafts, role play and other hands-on activities. Giving children the chance to learn through play is really important to me.
Learning a foreign language in childhood is hugely beneficial: it sparks curiosity, broadens children’s horizons, encourages an interest in other cultures, and promotes cognitive flexibility, communication, listening and problem-solving skills. When children start learning another language young, they absorb it in a fun and natural way without it feeling at all like hard work!
